Federer Through to the Finals of the French Open

Made some money on Federer's win over Davydenko.
The odds on Betfair were better than the rest again, as usual.

I'm trying to fine tune the strategy a bit, including taking 10-20% return bets. With appropriate portfolio management, this should turn things in your favor. Even more so where there are opportunities to watch the match on television. It sure makes a lots of difference when you can observe how strongly or how poorly a player is doing.

Today, Federer appeared to do just enough to win, even though he did it in straight sets; nonetheless, his performance wasn't one of his best.

So do we take Federer or Nadal on the Sunday? Looks too close to call, as either player can raise their game on a big day. Will stick to the Canadian Grand Prix instead.

Rafael Nadal Will Win the French Open

I'm back after a long absence.

Have been experimenting with betting on soccer matches as well as tennis matches in-play.
Bet365's in-play betting is simply fantastic. On the fly updates as well as live odds for an amazing multitude of betting options.

But that's not why I'm writing.
I'm writing 'cos I've been watching Rafael Nadal tear through his opposition in the last few matches. And he just did it again over his countryman Carlos Moya in straight sets!! If you haven't watched him play at this French Open, don't miss the semi finals. You have one last chance to watch him in action before deciding to back the house on him to win the championship. Even Roger Federer will not be able to touch him.

The next match is not far away. Rafael Nadal is playing the best tennis we've seen him play.

Hantuchova's Upset Victory

This was the last bet in the last couple of days, from the Pacific Life Open.
I think the players are on a break this week.

Anyway, Daniela Hantuchova pulled off an upset win over Svetlana Kuznetsova, creating another dent in the portfolio.

Drawdown is at 23% after 71 bets.

DID YOU KNOW?
Bet 365 gives you 15% of your initial deposit free, and this can be withdrawn after you have played through 3X your deposit amount. The free money has reduced the drawdown to 8%, but i'm counting it separately so as not to skew the statistics.

Justine Henin Did it! Will Andy Roddick Win It

Justine did it in the Memphis Open, beating Amelie Mauresmo!

More! String of losses following a string of wins.

Here's more for the weekend.
Friday nite hasn't been such a great outing, losing (so far) 3 out of 5 new bets in my last post.
The system seems quite stable, but not able to generate profits just yet.

Still trying to see how far my bank can go at a rate of 5% per bet.

SAP Open – Andy Roddick to beat Andrew Murray @ 1.57 LOST

Hewitt Screwed it Up!

Not such a great outcome - 1 out of 3 wins in my first attempt at betting on tennis.

2 upsets at the Davis Cup, Hewitt losing to Vliegen, whom he'd not previously met; and Melzer's loss to the Argentine Canas, who is some 50-100 places below him in the rankings.... only Tommy Haas fulfilled the predictions here.

Putting things in perspective, the outcome at 5% per bet of the betting pool, was -15 for the bets, and +7.86 on the win, giving a net outcome of -7.14%.

I've updated the scores on the previous post.

Net position - 92.86%.

Introductory Post

Welcome to my blog on sportsbetting.
Without a system, its gambling and money down the drain.

With a system, it becomes wealthbetting - using sportsbetting as a means to generate semi-passive income to build wealth.

Today I learnt my first system betting on tennis matches.

These are my bets on bet365.com

For tomorrow's Davis Cup Matches
1. Lleyton Hewitt to win at 1.57 agst Kristof Vliegen LOST
2. Tommy Haas to win at 1.57 agst Mario Ancic WON
3. Jurgen Melzer to win at 1.61 agst Guillermo Canas LOST

If this works, it will become another step on my wealthbuilding journey.
